The City of Lucedale Water Department operates Monday through Friday 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.
Payments can be made in person or by mail at City Hall, 5126 Main Street. For your convenience we have a drive thru window that operates between the hours of 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. The City of Lucedale accepts cash, checks, money orders, credit and debit cards and phone payments. You may also request to have your payments ACH drafted each month. Please speak to a clerk at City Hall for more information or for a form.
We have partnered with Nexbillpay to extend payment services options for customers interested in using their debit or credit card and convenient telephone service to pay their water bill. Nexbillpay is a trusted third party automated payment service that allows you to pay your bill online, by phone or in person at the office.
What is the service fee? Nexbillpay charges a small service fee to cover payment handling and all processing charges. Service fee will be calculated and disclosed prior to finishing your payment.
Does City of Lucedale keep any part of the service fee? NO. The City of Lucedale does not keep any part of the Nexbillpay service fee. Nexbillpay is a separate entity providing service for all the customers of the City of Lucedale.
How do I use this service? Customers will need the following to pay their bill: The customer/account number (located on your water bill). Your payment method: Debit card or credit card.

To begin your quick and easy ONLINE bill payment you must agree to the following:
If you received a “NOTIFICATION OF TERMINATION OF WATER AND SEWER SERVICE” letter or if you know that your bill is TWO MONTHS BEHIND, you must pay your water bill by 4:30 PM on the last day to pay that is indicated on this letter. THE NIGHT DEPOSIT BOX AT CITY HALL WILL BE LOCKED AT 4:30PM ON THE LAST DAY TO PAY INDICATED ON YOUR CUTOFF LETTER. YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ALLOWED TO PUT YOUR DELINQUENT WATER BILL IN THE NIGHT DEPOSIT AFTER 4:30PM ON LAST DAY TO PAY. IF YOU DO NOT PAY YOUR BILL PRIOR TO 4:30PM YOUR SERVICE WILL BE TERMINATED THE NEXT MORNING AS INDICATED ON YOUR TERMINATION LETTER.
If your account is delinquent, disconnected, or in the process of being disconnected, you MUST contact our office BEFORE you make a payment. Services will not automatically be restored or prevent disconnection if payment is made without contacting our office FIRST.

IMPORTANT: City of Lucedale is not liable if your service is disconnected and you do not call our office before making payment. Your services may be disconnected and will be subject to a reconnect fee. If you are disconnected, both water bills plus a reconnect fee will need to be paid in FULL before services are reconnected. If you are currently disconnected and make an online payment, your utilities WILL NOT be reconnected unless you contact our office to inform us of the payment. No refunds are available for online water bill payments.
If you have a water emergency after hours, during the weekend or on a holiday please contact the Lucedale Police Department at 601-947-3261 and they will contact the on call Water Department Employee on your behalf.
