Cowart Street will closed to thru traffic beginning Thursday October 5, 2017.  it will remain closed for approximately two weeks.  In the event it does not take the whole two weeks we will inform the Public of its opening.   We regret any inconvenience this may cause.   The City has a $400,000.00 CDBG grant to perform this work and a limited time to do so.  We thank you for your patience as we work to improve our sewer and drainage system in this area.

Students wishing to further their education can attend the George County Occupational Training Center, an extension of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Located inside the City limits, this college offers a wide variety of educational programs. Lucedale is located within 60 miles or less of four universities and three colleges.
