Ivy League Garden Club, Walt Massey GMC Buick, Century Bank, Wright Realty, Agricola Baptist Acteens, and Daisy Campbell Litter Patrol joined forces on Saturday, October 8th to beautify Main Street for fall. Over 300 gorgeous marigolds were planted! This project was in preparation for Praise in the Park, Gingham Tree, and the Veteran's Day parade. Thousands of visitors come to our city for these popular events each year. The plants were purchased through the generosity of Walt Massey, Century Bank, and Ivy League Garden Club. A delicious lunch was provided by Walt Massey and Century Bank for all the volunteers. In addition to the flowers, scarecrows will be constructed by members of the Ivy League Garden Club and placed throughout Main Street.
