Dr. Dayton Whites and Mr. Roy Grafe Jr. Donate Book Proceeds to Greenway  Preserve Nature Trail

Pictured is Dr Dayton Whites, Mayor Darwin Nelson and Mr. Roy Grafe Jr.

Mr. Roy Grafe Jr. and Dr. Dayton Whites recently presented a check in the amount of $4,800 to Mayor Darwin Nelson which is the proceeds from their book, "The Best Little Town," Lucedale, MS..  The donation will be used to enhance and preserve the Greenway Preserve Nature Trail.   The trail begins on Lamar Street and continues to the Lucedale City Park.   Both the White's and the Grafe's enjoy spending time walking at the Greenway Preserve.  Local Boy Scout Troops utilize the preserve often for camp outs and meetings.

The Greenway Trail ties directly into the City Park which adjoins the Depot Creek Greenway.  The Depot Creek Greenway features a lookout bridge and elevated walkways.  As always, we encourage everyone to stay healthy by walking and visiting both Green spaces.  Don't miss out on the wonderful opportunity to explore nature at both locations.
